Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax & Ultimate Quik Detailer

This is a basic overview and water repellency test for both Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax and Ultimate Quik Detailer. The hood was prepped using M205, followed by an IPA wipedown prior to application. On the left side hood facing the car I applied Ultimate Quik Detailer(UQD), the right side hood has Ultimate Quik Wax(UQW). This is a water test after a 24 hour period of waiting. You can use both as a drying aid, mist onto the paint after a wash and rinse in order to help get water off and retain it into your drying towel more effectively. UQD is the type of product I would recommend if you determine that the car is not quite dirty enough for a full wash, but you want to give it a nice wipedown or dusting off, use it like this at your discretion. I would also recommend UQD for emergency bird bomb removal which in some cases can cause almost immediate etching if in a hot environment, UQD should get the job done safely. And UQW I would recommend for that booster wax after washes when the car is fully washed and dried off. Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax has more durable polymers which will leave you with better protection compared to Ultimate Quik Detailer. Also, these are extremely easy to work with. They are both spray on wipe down products, they don't take any time to work into the paint, they flash quickly and you're then ready to move onto the next spot without worrying about smearing. It does not take much to get the job done, I usually use one or two sprays to do half a hood on a car like this, you do not have to over apply them for them to be effective.
