In this tutorial, you can learn how to Digitization in Google Earth Pro with 3D View and Digitization Google Earth Image. Google Earth Pro is amazing for it's ability to provide imagery as well as vector data but often one wants to record vector coordinates to represent features that one has interpreted from the imagery. Google Earth provides an easy way to do just that. With Google Earth you can capture and export geographic coordinates into .kml, an XML ascii text file format that can be ingested by a number of other GIS applications. The steps are these: 1.Get the features you want to digitize on screen in Google Earth. 2.Clean the unwanted stuff out of the "My Places" node in the table of contents. 3.GO to digitize the features as polygons for 3D View. 4.Right Click on My Places , create a Folder and give a name what ever you want. 5. After that right click on folder and add polygon path to digitize your interest area and click on save. 6. Right click on your Polygon features and check properties . From properties you have to go in Altitude, thengive Altitude Value as Relative to Ground and Check the box of Extends side to Ground , then Click on Ok 7.To export the data... Right click the "My Places" node in the table of contents. Choose "Save Places as" Navigate to a directory and supply a file name. Select .kml rather than .kmz at the bottom of the panel.
