IT CHAPTER TWO REVIEW SPOILERS After 27 years of the events that took place in It (2017), the evil returns to the town of Derry and with it an exciting story as terrifying, It chapter two is a little more than the first, but much more bloody and dark, that is: The second part of Stephen King's novel adaptation promises to be better than the previous one. 27 years have passed since the losers club defeated the pennywise clown and now the evil has returned, the murderous clown is loose again and the losers must unite more than ever to destroy it once and for all. Now the losers are adults and each one has taken different paths except Mike (Isaiah Mustafa) who is still in town following the clown trail. Meanwhile Bill Denbrough (James McAvoy) who works as a writer at Warner Brothers would be the first to receive his friend's call to return to Derry, all losers come to the call except Stanley Uris (Andy Bean) he commits suicide before returning to Derry Ben Hanscom (Jay Ryan) also attends the meeting. Already in town the friends gather to talk about the subject and discover a ritual to kill pennywise once and for all which involves sacrificing symbolic objects of their lives while being attacked by pennywise and their horrible visions. Beverly Marsh (Jessica Chastain) returns to her old house and discovers that the clown took the form of a true circus clown to attract children, while the losers move forward they discover secrets about Pennywise who has been in this world since the prehistory caused terror and panic to mortals. While searching for the objects Bill meets a boy who reminds him of Georgie, he tries to warn him about the danger, but the boy notices until it is too late. After gathering the objects, the losers enter Pennywise's lair where (SPOILER) perform the Chüd ritual to kill the clown, but they are attacked by Pennywise who has taken the form of a gigantic monstrous spider, Eddie Kaspbrak (James Ransone) is injured by Pennywise when he tries to save Richie (Bill Hader) and is in critical condition. It is here when the losers realize that the only way to kill the creature is by making him feel miserable and thus insulting him until he becomes a spice of disgusting alien fetus, they finally manage to kill him, but Eddie also dies. the remaining Losers return to the quarry where they once swam together. Beverly, who realized that it was Ben who wrote the letter, shares a kiss with him and they both begin a romantic relationship. Richie returns to the bridge where he had once carved his initials and those of another person, now revealed as Eddie. Mike decides to move out of Derry for a new life. All Losers receive a letter after Stan's death, explaining that he believed he would have retained them, but he knew they could defeat him if they were brave without him. I have to say that the production of this new film is sublime, every detail is very well taken care of and worked, the beginning sequence is extremely frightening and incredible because we see a pennywise more bloodthirsty and cruel than ever. The horror sequences are wonderful and very chilling, nothing to do with the first movie, here they were screened as much as they could showing grotesque and great scenes of what the clown can do, there is a scene where he talks to a girl in the dark who If I was very scared and when it becomes a giant spider it is something worth visually appreciating. As for performances, nobody did it wrong, I have Charles Xavier and Jessica Chastain so you can expect a good acting work and, by the way, there is a cameo from the writer of “It” that if you are a fan of his books you will surely recognize him. In conclusion, IT Chapter Two is truly a horror film masterpiece that shows us the pennywise clown in his best facet, and this movie also has a very emotional and moving end so I really recommend it. After the dark tower, pet sematary and that Stephen King's film universe is taking shape, we still have to see doctor sleep (sequel to the shining) and see that other books will adapt to new versions. But returning to the subject, the truth is that if I was shocked with this film, it is not the most frightening thing I have seen but it is certainly an epic horror film that will make you jump from your seat.
