One thing I liked about Estelī, a lesser visited city, are all the cigar factories! I see a lot of waterfalls, volcanos, rivers, lakes, etc. It's refreshing to see something different. I stopped at two different factories. Perdomo Cigars, a small factory. I don't think they give many tours, but the lady was very kind and happy to. It was all in Spanish, so I kept up the best I could. The factory smelled amazing of fresh and aged tobacco leaves. I bought a couple cigars and a thank you and she even gave me some extra ones. Then I went to A.J. Fernandez Cigars, a bigger factory that gives tours. The first one was free, this one cost some money. You got a couple cigars with it, and the guide spoke English and gave a very well detailed tour for an hour as we smoked a cigar throughout the factory. They age the leaves for two years after picking them. There are three main leaves: one for strength, one for taste, one for how it burns. The owner was there, which had an interesting story. His family owned a cigar factory in Cuba for two generations and he'd have been the third if it wasn't nationalized and taken away. So he moved to Nicaragua and started from scratch. I visit a waterfall and encounter some pretty roads for about ten minutes of some curvy riding for the first time in Nicaragua. Then some rough roads, you'll see me fall over when the camera goes perpendicular to the ground. I realized it was time to buy a new rear tire after 12-13,000 kilometers. There was no grip. Then there's this dude that made a bunch of carvings into the stone of a mountain side called, Mirador Los Jobos. It was pretty neat to see.
