New 2025 Huawei Luxeed R7 in-depth Walkaround The Huawei-backed Luxeed R7 has achieved remarkable success, surpassing 30,000 orders within just 33 days of its launch. This electric vehicle is built on Huawei's Giant Whale 800V platform, with an impressive length of 4,956 mm. One of the standout features of the R7 is its advanced Tuling Intelligent Chassis, which enables sophisticated road recognition. Certain trims are also equipped with Huawei's Qiankun ADS 3.0 driver assistance system, which provides cutting-edge capabilities like valet parking and vehicle summoning, showcasing the brand’s emphasis on intelligent driving solutions. With its sleek, large coupe design, the Luxeed R7 boasts dimensions of 4,956 mm x 1,981 mm x 1,634 mm, along with a generous wheelbase of 2,950 mm. Aiding in its semi-autonomous driving functions, the vehicle is equipped with Huawei's 192-line LiDAR solution, prominently placed on the roof, which pairs with the ADS 3.0 driving assistance for a smooth and efficient driving experience. These features are aimed at delivering enhanced safety and convenience, particularly in urban settings. The Luxeed R7 is available in four distinct trims: the Pro, two Max variants, and the Ultra. The Ultra is the only trim that includes dual electric motors, while the others are powered by a single rear-mounted motor. Battery options consist of either an 82 kWh or a 100 kWh pack, delivering CLTC-rated ranges of 667 km and 802 km, respectively. In terms of pricing, the Pro trim starts at RMB 259,800 (€33,290), the Max trims are priced at RMB 299,800 (€38,420) and RMB 319,800 (€41,000), and the Ultra tops out at RMB 339,800 (€43,550). Despite initially selling at a projected loss of about RMB 30,000 (€3,800) per unit, Huawei anticipates that scaling up production will offset these costs and help meet the high demand.
