I couldn't believe my eye when I spotted this Alocasia 'Pink Dragon'. Some are easier to spot than others, but when I saw, what I thought was a Pink Dragon, I took it home for a quick comparison. In this Plant Diary episode, I just wanted to share what I learned about the Alocasia 'Pink Dragon' and how I could tell the difference between the 'Pink Dragon' and the 'African Mask", which is much more common. One thing is for sure, don't give up on your Alocasia. It might drop all of its leaves but think of it like a "bulb" plant. It grows from a corm at its base so often times in winter it will have a dormant phase and drop its leaves. It can also go dormant if you don't keep up on the watering.
