Saif Ali Khan OPENS UP on nepotism and being privileged

Saif Ali Khan expresses his views on nepotism and what it means to be privileged in the Bollywood industry. After Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide after battling depression the discussion and debate around nepotism and favoritism in the film industry re-ignited. While various actors are keeping themselves away from not getting indulged in the debate, actor Saif Ai Khan openly accepted that he is indeed privileged. He also said that many talented actors are often deprived of adequate opportunities and it happens a lot in India. He reveals how glad he is as he performed the role of Langda Tyagi in Vishal Bhardwaj's Omkara. He also spoke about the struggles that newcomers in the industry face. Saif said, “They’ve come up purely through talent, while some of us, frankly, have had doors opened for us by privilege of our birth and the parents we’ve had. So, given that undercurrent, when you’re on set and you do a scene and you are as prepared as anyone else and you deliver a line which is on par with if not better than everyone, then you feel better.
