Custom Transmission Tunnel Fabrication Part 5 - More Metal Fab - 71 Camaro RS

We continue our 71 Camaro RS restomod T56 custom transmission tunnel fabrication series by forming the other half of the custom transmission tunnel. We begin by creating a paper template using poster board paper. The poster board paper is trimmed using a razor blade and then transferred over to 18 gauge sheet metal. We leave a quarter inch of extra material on the sides of the custom transmission tunnel. Finally the custom transmission tunnel is cut out. Next, lines are draw on the sheet metal to be used as a guide while forming the custom transmission tunnel. The sheet metal is then bent over a 4 inch piece of PVC pipe in order to create the conical shape needed for our 71 Camaro RS restomod project car. Finally the beads are rolled into the custom transmission tunnel and the custom transmission tunnel is held in place using cleco sheet metal fasteners.
