Hi everyone. Shapes are an important part of any painting but, in abstracts, your shapes will make or break your work. So what are 'good' shapes and how do you find your own? Two things will make a shape interesting; variation and giving your viewer a "way out". As a general rule, you'll want to avoid circles, rectangles, and triangles. But, this is art, so it's also important to know when you can break that rule. To help demonstrate the rule breaking, I share a few artists work that does just that. As always, if you have any questions, topics you'd like me to discuss, or anything else, please reach out and thank you for being a part of this artistic community. Hugs, Gwen
