Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office unveils 'PUG,' the nation’s first AI-powered police cruiser

Miami is putting the future of law enforcement on wheels, rolling out the nation’s first AI-powered patrol car. On Thursday, the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office (MDSO) unveiled 'PUG,' an AI-powered police cruiser they're calling a 'gamechanger.' According to MDSO, the vehicle can operate fully autonomously, but will be occupied by a deputy for the first few months. PUG-- an acronym for Police Unmanned Ground-- will be the only vehicle of its kind on the road in the country. "I think it's a game changer," said MDSO Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz.
