It's the song that opens the 3d album from Krewe du Belge. L'ALBUM est ICI = • Dans Le Vieux Carré Le "Vieux Carré" is the French Quarter, the center of New Orleans. It's where we recorded this album, and where we drew all the inspiration that has driven the Krewe for the past 6 years. And we're fortunate to have been able to invite some of its local legends to the Marigny studio. The Brass Band was created in February 2018, when Vanessa Tanghe and Christophe Mercier discovered the Mardi Gras of New Orleans with wonder. Back in Brussels, they gathered their musician friends and played the repertoire they heard there: creative music that blends styles, but also eras. Little by little, a whole crew of people of all ages and origins came together to create the "Krewe du Belge", the self-proclaimed Belgian Carnival Company of New Orleans. Since then, every one of their outings has been a party, a moment of celebration, exchange and dance. This studio album is the realization of a dream: to play with those who inspire us, in a city that makes us dream. And to blend this unique culture with our equally remarkable Belgian identity.
