She had a knack for interpreting songs, and with her incredible voice, laying down the tracks quickly and confidently. It was an exciting time for me, my family and fellow musicians involved in the Quinte Spirit CD project. We were one link in a chain of her early development. At my CD release event in Kingston on December 18, 1999 Avril made her first important contact with the music industry.
