Sunset walk along the coast of Sunabe in Chatan, Okinawa. This video was filmed on Saturday, March 7 around 5:50 PM at Miyagi Coast. The sky was cloudy but the evening light was soft and beautiful. People were jogging along the seawall, walking their dogs, and quietly watching the ocean. Along the way we also passed a small scene where two people were preparing to play guitar and piano near the seaside. The walk starts along the famous Sunabe Seawall and continues through the quiet streets of the old American housing area. The walk ends near the well-known burger restaurant Gordie's. For many U.S. Marines and military members who once lived in Okinawa, Sunabe is a place full of memories. After work, many would come here to walk, watch the sunset, surf, or simply enjoy the ocean breeze. If you spent time in Okinawa, this walk may bring back some memories.
