In this week's episode, Patrick and Stuart celebrate their second American Thanksgiving at the Chateau. They welcome their friends from 6 different countries to a beautiful evening at the Château de Colombe in France for a Thanksgiving feast. Patrick also shows how he makes Chocolate Vanilla Fudge for the event. Patrick's Chocolate Vanilla Fudge: 100 g dark chocolate 100 g milk chocolate 450 g granulated sugar 125 g butter 150 ml cream 400 ml condensed milk (1 small can) 2 tbsp vanilla 3 tbsp maple syrup Bring sugar, butter, cream, and condensed milk to a steady boil for 10-15 minutes, stirring continuously and scraping the base of the pan. The mixture should reach 113-115°C on a sugar thermometer. If you don't have one you can drop a little mixture into a bowl of ice cold water - if it forms a soft, round ball that doesn't stick to your fingers then it should be ready. Add the remaining ingredients (chocolates/vanilla/maple syrup). Beat the mixture until it just loses it's shine and becomes very thick. Press into a parchment lined prepared tin with the back of a spoon and leave to set before cutting into squares. ----------- Music: Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 In G Major, Bwv 1048 I.
