It’s a small electric SUV designed as a rival to the Volvo EX30 and Jeep Avenger, as well as the Ford Puma Gen-E, due later in 2025. But despite its positioning, it’s still recognisable as a MINI – even from 100 yards. It gets the same recognisable front end, with a fared in nose and a set of squared-off headlights. There are customisable trinkets throughout, allowing owners to make the Aceman their own. It’s on the inside where this car really stands out though, with a high-quality feel, plush seats and plenty of tech. In typical MINI fashion, there’s a big, circular, central display, hiding everything from the sat-nav and radio controls, to the heated seats and air-conditioning. There’s no digital instrument cluster – meaning the head-up display is a worthwhile option. Under the metal there’s a choice of electric powertrains. The basic MINI Aceman E uses a 42.5kWh battery and 181bhp motor for up to 192 miles of range. Above this is the Aceman SE, which gets a larger 54.2kWh battery, punchier 215bhp motor, and an official range of 252 miles.
