Nation Media Group apologises for erroneous obituary advert
The Nation Media Group today published an obituary, purporting to announce the ‘demise’ of Mr. Jimi Wanjigi, named as James Richard Wanjagi in the announcement. The Nation Media Group immediately regretted the pain and anguish that the publication caused Mr. Wanjigi and his family, and reached out to him to apologise. NMG was categorical that it does not condone such publication, which clearly goes against the editorial policy. The Group stated that it had taken immediate action against those responsible for the placement of the announcement, including reporting the matter to the police for further investigations. To further support in the investigations, the Nation Media Group hereby publishes the CCTV FOOTAGE AND pictures of the person who booked the obituary. The matter has been reported at the DCI Central Police Station.
