Here’s the latest episode of [SESSIONS] with Yann Tiersen who stopped by in Brussels while on tour in Europe. Mute recording artist Yann Tiersen, the Breton composer and multi-instrumentalist, known for his distinctive mix of minimalistic piano, folk traditions and experimental electronic soundscapes performed ‘Palestine’ - originally titled ‘ 16 1 12 5 19 20 9 14 5’ from his 2022 album 11 5 18 2 5 18 - and ‘Dolores’ from his 2025 album The Liquid Hour | Rathlin from a Distance. On that album he combines piano minimalism with modular electronica – often inspired by his life and sailing trips off the coast of Brittany. Tiersen continues to explore themes like nature, identity and transformation, and invites listeners into meditative and deeply human worlds of sound.
