Stihl Chainsaw Shootout, 271 vs 461!

Let's do a chainsaw noodling comparison, MS271 Farmboss vs. MS461 pro saw. The difference is not just in homeowner vs professional saws, but also in engine displacement and horsepower. Yes this test is skewed but there's a reason for it. Stihl dealerships and Youtubers constantly recommend the 271 but I think it's a junk saw. Sure the Farmboss puts in work in a conventional manner of crosscutting limbs and logs but is underpowered and bogs down when you noodle with it, or rip cut, whichever term you prefer. Even though my 461 has a skiptooth chain on and is making monster noodles, it never jammed up or skipped a beat. The 271 was equipped with a semi-chisel full comp chain safety chain, which while slower in the cut makes smaller noodles and should jam the clutch cover less.
