There is so much water in the basement of the former convent on the north side of Syracuse that another freeze could impact the strength of the foundation. And on Friday, the city said it will be torn down. The building's rooftop and most of its fourth floor are gone because of a massive blaze that took over it just one week ago. At this point, it's too soon to know what if anything inside can be salvaged.
