Domaine Louis Jadot was founded by Louis Henry Denis Jadot in 1859. The Jadot family bought their first vineyard, Clos des Ursules, in 1826. Domaine Louis Jadot is a negociant that has both its own vineyards and buys grapes from other growers. It controls about 270 hectares of vineyards in Burgundy. Its logo is the Bacchus head, which is the Greek God of Wine. The domaine was sold in 1985 to the Kopf family (Kobrand), who still own it today. Corton is located in the Cote de Beaune region of Burgundy and is the largest Grand Cru site in Burgundy. Greves is located in the commune of Aloxe Corton (pronounced "alosse" Corton), half of which is Premier Cru sites and half of which is Grand Cru sites. Greves lies lower down the slop of the Corton Hill and near the border to the Premier Cru sites. As a red Burgundy, the wine is made 100% from Pinot Noir grapes. The wine is aged 18-20 months in oak before release. For more information about the winery, please visit their website at https://www.louisjadot.com/en
