Mufushwa is Zimbabwe's traditional relish. It goes well with sadza(pap). Mufushwa is simple to make. @chihuzeats1266 Ingredients Mufushwa hot water 2 tablespoons oil 3 cloves garlic minced 1 onion chopped 1 tablespoon salt or to taste 1 teaspoon paprika 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 2 tomatoes chopped 1 red chilli pepper chopped Method 1. Wash mufushwa and add to a pot. Pour hot water enough to cover mufushwa. Close pot and leave to soak for at least 30mins. 2. Boil mufushwa until its half done, remove mufushwa and its water from the heat. 3. Put oil in a pot and add garlic, cook for a minute, add onions and cook for 3 minutes then add salt, paprika, black pepper and stir. 4. Add tomatoes and 1/4 cup of water. Cover pot and allow tomatoes to cook. 5. Add mufushwa and its water to the pot with tomato mixture, add red chilli pepper and stir until everything is mixed. 5. Cover pot and allow to simmer until mufushwa is soft and water has reduced. Serve hot with sadza(pap) and enjoy.
