Boston Walk: Harvard Medical School - Longwood Medical Area

In this walk through Boston's Longwood Medical Area (LMA), I start on Ave. Louis Pasteur and make my way to Harvard Medical School. After that, I pass by the Lying-in Hospital and head down Longwood Ave. to the Boston Children's Hospital and the Shapiro Clinical Center of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). At the intersection of Brookline and Longwood Avenues, I head to the Joslin Diabetes Center and end the walk at little Joslin Park next to the Rosenberg building of the BIDMC. The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute can be seen just across the way on Brookline Ave. This walk covered just a part of the expansive LMA, and being a Sunday afternoon, the area was exceptionally quiet. In normal times, however, it is bustling with medical professionals and patients. Recorded: 04-04-21
