Hi everyone. Here is part 2 on how to make your own scratch built coal loads. Although it does take a while they are cheap and easy to make adding a personal touch to your layout. The foam can be bought at any craft store or directly through Rochford Supply at https://www.rochfordsupply.com. I use 50/50 mix of white glue and water, black spray paint and you can either spray or use brush to finish with urethane. I hope this will help you or at least give you some idea's for your railroad. Its alot of fun and very rewarding. You can make coal, ballast or ore whichever you prefer. The material I use for the coal is called black beauty it some in bags and can be bought at most Home depot or anywhere similar. Its coal slag that is generally used as sand blasting materials but the granules are perfect for o gauge. Thanks for watching.... All post production editing done by Sam's O Gauge trains.
