On April 12, 2018, 22-year-old Rannita “NuNu” Williams of Shreveport, Louisiana, was forced at gunpoint by her ex-boyfriend, 37-year-old Jonathan Robinson, to livestream a humiliating apology to his longtime girlfriend, Shuricka Taylor, before he shot her four times on Facebook Live. Williams, a beloved mother of three, was killed inside her home as her family ran for safety and police surrounded the house. Robinson, who had a long history of violence and arrests, later admitted he went there to kill her. He was sentenced on January 24, 2019, to life in prison at hard labor plus 100 years for multiple counts of attempted first-degree murder. Rannita was buried April 21, 2018, exactly two weeks after writing her haunting Facebook post predicting people would check IDs at her funeral.
