Road Intersection design is one of the most neglected issues in Nepal. People are interested in widening roads, building flyovers, but not thinking about improving Intersections. We must understand that Road Network capacity is governed by the Intersection capacity and not on the number of lanes on the road. A couple of months back, I got an opportunity to interact remotely with Engineers from Nepal and share my experience on Road Intersections design. Part of the presentation is shared here with some recommendations in the context of Nepal.
