I did not play particularly well here honestly, but it was good enough for me to scrouge something together I suppose. I played for like an hour and gained a whopping 6 trophies and the only reason I climbed on the leaderboard was because of a hacker that got flagged. Amazing. You don't need me to tell you that Metal Sonic is a good character so I'll take this time to talk about something else instead. A balance change finally occured a few days ago, giving much awaited nerfs to Super Sonic, Werehog, and Infinite. This decision was based off of a SEGA HARDlight Discord server poll in which hundreds of people voted stating that they wanted changes to be made to them. I might make a video dedicated to the changes, but tl;dr: I think Super Sonic's nerfs were good. In the past, I didn't think there was enough risk at using him at a high level compared to the reward. Although he's still ridiculous on some tracks, I think that the risk was increased by an appropriate amount. If you play badly, don't expect to get bailed out as easily. If this proves to be too hard, might be time to use someone with a more traditional playstyle. Werehog's nerfs were okay but I still think he needs another. He's no longer a free win button but catching up to a Werehog is still too difficult. I still feel like reworking Dark Blast - perhaps into an electric version of Bashosen - would be a better idea because it barely feeels like an offensive tool rather than just another boost which I think misses the point of that slot. But another, more significant speed decrease could maybe also work at this stage. Infinite's nerfs barely changed anything. It should be obvious that he still needs massive nerfs across the board. I honestly struggle to think of an aspect of him that is fun or fair to deal with even after the nerfs he's already received. I included most of the races during my most recent session but skipped some of the more uninteresting ones. Most of those were races ruined by an Infinite and he still ruins plenty of the remaining ones. Music Used: The game of choice for this video's music is Digimon Cyber Slueth, I game that I own that I would recommend if you have the right software. The game was created by Media.Vision and Bandai Namco Entertainment; I do not own the music used.
