In 2013, four years into the 458’s production run, Ferrari released the Speciale. The lightweight track-focused variant of the 458. 1 year later, Ferrari launched the Speciale Aperta at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The Aperta was even more exclusive than the Speciale coupe, with just 499 units produced. Only 49 cars were RHD, this car being one of them. This car is finished in triple-layer yellow, with a blue carbon exterior and interior, as per the launch spec of the Aperta. This car is owned by a great Autofolio client, who has kindly given us access to the car today. It has a 4.5L V8, producing 597 BHP, which revs to 9,000 RPM. Which is only elevated by the open-top experience. The engine in Coupe & Aperta has won the ‘Best Performance Engine of the Year’ award in 2011, 2012 & 2014.
