Making the decision to transfer or consolidate your pension is exciting, but it can be a daunting process. Here is how Holborn Assets Management makes the process simple and easy. First, an adviser will contact you to discuss your reasons for consolidating or transferring your pension. Once you understand and agree to move onto the next stage, we will have you complete a letter of permission. A letter of permission allows a member of Holborn Assets to contact your pension administrator, to get the information needed to make a recommendation on how to best transfer your pension. This is strictly an information gathering process and does not initiate a transfer of funds. After your phone conversation with a Holborn Adviser, you will receive an email summary of the conversation as well as a PDF of the letter of permission, that you will need to print and fill out before sending it back to us. At this point, you will need to look through your records, filing cabinets, old paperwork and anywhere else that might have the necessary information. If you have any trouble with this, Holborn provides a track and trace service that can help locate missing information. Once we receive the scanned form, we will forward it to our pension administration team. They will process the form and forward it to your pensions administrator. 3 to 6 weeks later, we will receive all the information that your pension administrator needs to provide. From here, your Holborn Adviser will begin to create recommendations regarding the transfer of your pension. When the recommendation report is finished, the adviser will either hop-on a plane to discuss your options with you in person, or you can have the discussion via telephone. Once you have agreed to a recommended course of action, you just need to complete some more paperwork, and then you will officially be a new Holborn Assets Management Client.
