Reading 2102 on the Winter Rambles: Valentine's Day, 2026

Reading and Northern's famous 4-8-4 2102 tackles the mountain grades of anthracite country in southeastern Pennsylvania. Watch her between Reading and Jim Thorpe, at spots such as Port Clinton, Molino, EMX, Lake Hauto, and more. The day begins at the R&N steam shops, where 2102 is pulled out of the roundhouse by SW8 801. The chase begins at Hamburg, with spots from there to Jim Thorpe, and return.
