CYBERPUNKED: THE MEMORY MERCHANTS Song 8 (7 is an instrumental) Album Synopsis - Liner Notes In the neon-drenched streets of São Paulo's near future, a nameless memory dealer operates in the shadows of the black market, trafficking in humanity's most intimate commodity: stolen experiences from the dead. He's a merchant of ghosts, selling borrowed lives to those desperate enough to escape their own reality, a funeral you never attended, a love affair you never had, a death you'll never die. His world shatters when he acquires a memory unlike any other: his own murder, witnessed through the eyes of his future self, five years from now. The taste of copper blood in his mouth. The moment of his death. But here's the paradox…he's alive, experiencing a memory that hasn't happened yet. As he investigates, he uncovers "The Syndicate," a vast time-smuggling operation using memory dealers as unknowing carriers of temporal contraband. They've perfected the art of creating closed causality loops, events that cause themselves, impossible to prevent because trying to stop them is what makes them happen. He's not just a dealer anymore; he's a pawn in a game where past, present, and future collapse into each other. Haunted by chronosickness and spiraling into paranoia, he descends from confident criminal to desperate fugitive. Every step he takes to prevent his death might be exactly what leads to it. Every memory he experiences erodes the boundary between who he is and who he's becoming. He's trading ghosts on Rua Augusta, but the ghost might be him. The album traces his psychological unraveling as he questions fundamental truths: Is he still himself, or is he becoming the person whose death he witnessed? If he prevents his murder, does he erase the person he became while trying to survive? When you carry someone else's memories, where do they end and you begin? In the final confrontation, he faces his killer…or is it himself? The market collapses inward. One final kiss goodbye to the person he used to be. And then: waking up as no one, the ultimate paradox withdrawal. The memory trade continues in São Paulo's electric nights. But somewhere in those neon-lit streets, a man walks who may or may not exist, carrying memories of a future that may or may not come to pass, forever trapped in the question: If you remember dying, are you already dead? --- LUNAR LIGHT ORCHESTRA Orchestral Cyberpunk Symphonic LLO logo designed by Gabriela Gomes of Ghost Jaguar / @ghostjaguarofficial We are a Hybrid Orchestral Rock band using real intruments, vocals, and human-written lyrics fused with Technology and AI to acheive a futuristic sound in a more modernized style of ELO and The Alan Parsons Project among other influences.
