Join me as I take my X5 autofold mobility scooter on the train from Thetford to London Docklands to visit the New Scientist Live event at the Excel Centre! In this video, I show how easy it is to travel by train with a mobility scooter, including accessibility at stations, boarding assistance, and getting around London. They put down a ramp for me at Stratford which helped. But the X5 mobility scooter is so light, that I could easily have swung it off the train! The Elizabeth Line and the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) are fantastic for mobility scooter users. I also explore the New Scientist Live show — packed with technology, innovation, and science for everyone — and then head to my hotel nearby. The Premier Inn was just outside the back door. I then go and have a sneaky pint and supper at a nearby pub.
