The now classic production with songs by Marc Shaiman & Scott Wittman is directed by Jack O'Brien, choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, designed by David Rockwell with costume designs by William Ivey Long. Paul Seven Lewis is bowled over by the performances of the two big names as well as Lizzie Bea, Marisha Wallace, Rita Simons, Georgia Anderson, Mari McGinley & Ashley Samuels. Production photos used in this review are by Tristram Kenton. Hairspray can be seen at the London Coliseum until 29 September 2021. A production with a different cast is touring the UK in 2021.
