Performance Drop After DRM Change? | RESIDENT EVIL 4 Benchmark (Steam)

Today we’re looking at a recent and quite controversial change to Resident Evil 4 Remake on PC. In the latest update Capcom removed the old Denuvo anti-tamper protection and replaced it with a different DRM system called Enigma. Players and content creators noticed that the new DRM appears to be affecting performance in many cases, with reports of noticeable FPS drops, increased VRAM usage, and worse stability compared to the build that still used Denuvo. Now I’m going to show you my usual benchmark run side by side: one on the build with the old Denuvo and one on the new Enigma, so you can see the difference in real gameplay. There is no issue or major changes between the two but I belive that the problems will occour in a more CPU-limited scenario, so on handhelds and low-tier PCs there could be a real performance drop.
