Red Pike, High Stile & High Crag from Buttermere. 26th February 2019
A walk from Buttermere in the Lake District over the High Stile range. The walk starts from the village of Buttermere and heads up to Bleaberry Tarn. We then head up to Red Pike from the tarn taking in the subsidiary summit of Dodd (641m) before reaching Red Pike (755m). From Red Pike we head along the ridge to High Stile (807m) and finally High Crag 744m) From High Crag we descend by the steep Gamlin End, before joining the path from Scarth Gap Pass heading down to Buttermere. We complete the walk by walking along the shore of Buttermere back to Buttermere village. Distance is around 7.5 miles.
