Not included on the recent "Complete Doomwatch" release from Simply Media (well worth buying, click the link below!) were these couple of minutes of footage which come from the very end of the studio recording. These are reaction shots which were recorded to be dropped in, presumably, over the controversial execution footage which was one of the reasons given for the show not being transmitted. (Of course, as this footage was never edited in the complete show has never existed and we can assume that this reason was not true and it was more that the BBC was rather worried about be sued for having caricatures of real people, such as Chris (Eric Pollard, Emmerdale) Chittell playing Dick Burn who is clearly a parody of Cliff Richard and June (Dot Cotton, EastEnders) Brown clearly playing a version of Mary Whitehouse.)
