This video shows that the internal SSD storage on my Apple Mac M4 Max MacBook Pro is slower than my external Thunderbolt 5 SSD storage drives. Another video showing the relatively low SLC cache performance of the internal 1TB SSD storage of my M4 Max MacBook Pro. The video also shows the true performance of the Apple storage once the SLC cache has been depleted and the Mac is writing to its long term TLC NAND storage chips. These videos clearly show that Apple storage is not as good as you would expect, given the extremely high price that Apple charge for their storage.
