Anita Goodesign has the answer in the June 2019 edition of the Anita Goodesign All Access monthly magazine. The designs are Anita Express, and they are called Stained Glass Ornaments. In this video, I am going to show you exactly how to stitch out these gorgeous ITH embroidery designs from Anita Goodesign. Supplies: organza or tulle fabric in a variety of colors trimming scissors Water Soluble Stabilizer (WSS) or wash away stabilizer Black thread and black bobbin The first step is to hoop the WSS - water soluble stabilizer in your hoop. Make sure you have the correct type of stabilizer - you don't want to use the film or plastic type, it will not hold up to all of the stitches and trimming of the applique fabric. Make sure you use the fibrous kind of water-soluble stabilizer - and if yours is thin you can use two layers. After you have hooped the embroidery stabilizer, the first part to stitch out is your placement line. Once that has finished stitching then you can place your organza or tulle fabric in the hoop, like an applique piece of fabric. the embroidery machine will then stitch down the organza in the next step. You can trim the organza or leave it there for a layered look. The next applique steps are simple: put down another piece of organza or tulle (you can add more than one layer for a different final look) then the embroidery machine (mine is a Brother Dream Machine 2) will stitch each part down. Carefully trim the organza outside of the placement lines. Then the machine will stitch down and secure the fabric. Continue until the applique parts have been completed. There may be more or less applique steps, depending on the design that you have chosen to stitch. Once that is done, trim the outside organza if you have not already done so, and make sure that you have the bobbin that matches the top thread, and I used black thread for both. Finish with the satin stitches which will look great on both sides and complete the embroidery design. MACHINE EMBROIDERY EDUCATION. FOR EVERYONE. LEARN. STITCH. SMILE.
