"BURNING SOULS" (Demon) by AlvaroRH99 | Geometry Dash 2.2

AlvaroRH99 let me see parts of this early, and I also got to playtest it a bit, which made me excited for its full release. Now it's here, and I think it's my favorite work by him thus far. Like other AlvaroRH99 levels I've reviewed, this has good theming from start to finish. However, each part is a bit more varied in the way the theme is used from part to part than past works, thanks to more art, animation, and effects. I also like how art is incorporated into the structures here and there, making them more varied too. Some parts do feel a bit monochrome on their own when watching the level, but I'm glad it changes per part, which keeps the whole thing interesting. Later parts also mix several colors simultaneously, rather than the sticking to the fully grayscale and red parts near the start and end. This is especially true for the intense parts, which makes sense for synchronization purposes. Gameplay-wise, I don't have much to complain about here really. The things I did notice while playtesting were very minor, but since those are now patched, I think it's good as it is. It's very intuitive to play through, with structures and orbs clearly laying out the upcoming path. As a result, playing it was quite enjoyable to me. It does still take some attempts, as the orbs get very fast during the intense parts, but it shouldn't be harder than an Easy Demon. As for the rating, this deserves at least an Epic rating for sure.
