Date filmed: Saturday the 26th of July 2025 Videos filmed at: 17:24 | 17:31 | 17:44 Route(s): Exeter to Barnstaple 'Tarka' Line / Okehampton Branch 'Dartmoor' Line Crediton (CDI) Station Crossing type: Manually Controlled Barrier crossing (MCB) Filming location: Station Road, Crediton (EX17 3PP) Featuring: - @UKLevelCrossingsChannel - @UKLCSandT - @RH_TransportPhotography - @ElectraLevelCrossings A level crossing located beside Crediton Station a few miles out of Exeter, Devon. This level crossing is located on two parallel single lines, as Crediton is effectively the junction where the lines to Okehampton and Barnstaple split, and this is one of only a few remaining crossings where there is still an active token exchange beside it (shown at least in some detail throughout the video). Controlled from the signal box next to it, and with no 'auto-raise' feature, this level crossing has the very-rare-to-find British Rail Western Region barriers, and there are two long ones here covering the whole width of road. An off-side wigwag at this level crossing has taken a serious battering from a tall vehicle, and is in quite a state! The last video from a truly sensational trip in great company! Thanks to all those joining me for undeniably my best trip of 2025!
