Been busy lately, hence the lack of frequent posting. Goals here, in order of importance: take no damage, enjoyable to watch, show a few minor glitches in addition to more boss AI. See the following notes for some commentary on the bosses, as usual! Also, IMO the repetitive nature of some of the X3 bosses, as well as some of the cumbersome weapons in X3 and the long Dr. Doppler dialogue, are to blame for the length of this video. Granted, X2 was a tough act to follow. Bosses begin at... Blast Hornet 0:21 Blizzard Buffalo 1:24 Toxic Seahorse 2:26 Volt Catfish 3:06 Gravity Beetle 4:15 Tunnel Rhino 5:07 Crush Crawfish 6:03 Neon Tiger 6:45 Dr. Doppler 8:23 Notes: Blast Hornet, as noted before, is fairly weak to Spinning Blade in addition to Gravity Well. Either of these weapons makes for an easy fight. Blizzard Buffalo is weak to Parasitic Bomb (previously used X-Buster). Parasitic Bomb actually shows more of his AI, since a successful hit will interrupt his action and cause him to do something different. Near the beginning of this fight, I make use of another invincibility glitch in the game, to show that Toxic Seahorse is in fact vulnerable for part of the time when he's supposed to be invincible. By hitting him with a few Frost Shields during this time, you can deal extra damage. For someone with an awesome stage, Volt Catfish really has a disappointing boss fight. Everything's fine until he's below 1/2 HP, when the only weapon that can interrupt his goofy volt-spewing attack is Tornado Fang. Gravity Beetle is also fairly weak to Parasitic Bomb, in addition to his obvious weakness to Ray Splasher. Tunnel Rhino takes an even heftier chunk of damage when Acid Burst is charged. Remember that splashing Acid Burst on the ceiling creates the widest splatter effect, and the projectile's direction can be controlled with up/down arrows. As before, I make use of the fact that Crush Crawfish takes damage from Triad Thunder while still supposedly invincible. The only catch is that you need to keep moving; Triad Thunder won't stop him from attacking if you damage him while he's still (supposedly) invincible. This time around, I get to use Spinning Blade on Neon Tiger. Charged version does even more damage. For the Dr. Doppler fight, you can "fake" Doppler into using his healing shield by shooting a quick Acid Burst at the ground, and then lobbing another one to hit him after his healing shield is gone. Doppler has a very predictable attack pattern. Game: Mega Man X3 System: Super Nintendo
