We finally made it out to Death Valley for the very first time, and this trip did not disappoint. We were so excited that we woke up before sunrise and hit the road by 5 AM. From the Inland Empire, it took us about four hours to reach the park, and the plan was simple: get there early, explore as much as we could, and make it back home the same day. Our first stop was Zabriskie Point. The views were incredible and honestly reminded me a lot of Fonts Point in Anza Borrego with those dramatic ridgelines and golden badlands. From there, we headed to Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America. Standing in the middle of all that salt felt surreal, almost like being on another planet. We made a quick stop at a small area known as the Devil’s Playground to take some photos, then wrapped up our day at Artist’s Palette. The colors on those hills are wild in person, created by years of oxidation. It’s one of those places that looks unreal even when you’re standing right in front of it. Overall, this was an awesome day trip and a great first experience in Death Valley. I really wanted to check out some of the off‑road trails, but I didn’t want to run them solo. Next time, we’re coming back with the whole gang. Thanks for watching!
