Suspended Higher Education Minister William Ruto claims Prime Minister Raila Odinga is insincere in his opposition to President Mwai Kibaki's nominations of four new constitutional office holders. Ruto claimed the premier did not want President Kibaki to take the names to the African Union summit in Ethiopia to convince the continental body that Kenya had reformed its judiciary sufficiently to try post election violence suspects locally. The Eldoret North MP insists the President did the right thing in nominating the four officials. The meeting was attended by agriculture minister and area MP Sally Kosgey, seen for years as a loyal Raila ally.
