This special report details the chilling hostage crisis in Powai, Mumbai, where a man identified as Rohit Arya held 17 children captive at a film studio. Arya, who lured the children under the pretext of an audition, was shot dead by police during a rescue operation. In a video released during the standoff, Arya stated, 'Instead of dying by suicide, I have made a plan and am holding some children hostage here.' The incident was reportedly triggered by Arya's grievances against the Maharashtra government for allegedly not giving him credit or payment for a school improvement concept he developed. The police operation ended with all children being rescued safely, while Arya succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The investigation has now been transferred to the Mumbai Police Crime Branch. #MumbaiHostageCrisis #RohitArya #Powai #MumbaiPolice #HostageRescue Subscribe to India Today for NEW VIDEOS EVERY DAY and make sure to enable Push Notifications so you'll never miss a new video.
