----- Original post 02/25/14 Porsche panamera 4s errors. PSM failure, chassis failure, all wheel drive system, start stop mode deactivated. -----Update: 10/10/16 Turns out it was half the engine controller dying? I don't remember the exact part but basically, everytime I started the car, half the engine was not starting correctly or at all, causing all sorts of faults and PSM faults. It was explained to me by Porsche of Monmouth in NJ that it will continue to happen more and more often until the part actually dies and then it must be changed. I opted to get it fixed because it was annoying. I complained that I sent the car in multiple times for this issue, to different dealerships, but they would not reimburse me. It cost about $2600 to fix, and multiple complaints to Porsche corporate came back as it not being an issue they've documented by the dealership all this time before. Total BS. Shortly after I got this fixed, maybe 3 months, my AC blower fan went... WHAT?!? Yes, there were no fan controls at all, whether it was heating or cooling. So, after that was fixed, I complained again. Nothing resolved except me paying for the full repairs. Out of warranty. Then my driver side door LOCK wen bad. It chirped when you hit the button on the door or pushed the remote to lock the doors, but if you went up to the door without the keys, and pulled the handle, it unlocked! Yes, the alarm did go off but it still unlocked! Even with an audible alarm, it gave theves enough time to go in my glove or center console, or even my trunk if needed be. About $400 to fix the door lock, I believe. All in all, an expensive experiment on the Porsche design team for me to be the guinea pig. Love the car, but wish there was some sympathy for me. I'm sure there is a PSM update to fix a few of the annoyances of the car, but it seems from looking on google, you have to pay for any updates. I'll save the money for the next car. --- Update: Oh yeah, new front and back brakepads were installed last year (2015) and new front and rear wheels installed this year (2016) Runs well now, but expensive repairs. Lastly, just 2 weeks ago, the driver side windshield button broke! It flew out when I clicked it. I've inspected it and one of the plastic legs with a nub on it has broken, I believe. I pushed it back in and it works fine but you have to be really delicate on it so it doesn't pop back out, which it has done a few times. Requires you to pull over to look for the button to snap back in to close the windows again. Annoying.
