Under the chairmanship of Director General Ghulam Farooq Lagahari, the forum served as a strategic dialogue between the government and corporate leaders, in collaboration with ConnectHear, for the empowerment and implementation of the 5% job quota as a government policy for PWDs. Key Highlights of the Forum: Strategic Planning & Arrangements: A special acknowledgment was given to Deputy Director SPDPA Dr. Ratna Deewan and Azima Dhanji (Co-founder, ConnectHear) for their pivotal roles in the meeting’s arrangements and for ensuring a focus on communication accessibility. Corporate Sector Commitment: Distinguished representatives from HESCO, Meezan Bank, Attock Petroleum, National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), Soorty Textiles, and Bank Alfalah participated in the session. Policy Implementation: The corporate leaders lauded the Government of Sindh’s proactive initiatives and formally pledged their commitment to upholding the mandatory 5% employment quota. Regional Job Fairs Announcement: In a landmark move toward direct recruitment, DG Ghulam Farooq Lagahari announced that the SPDPA will soon organize a series of Job Fairs across different regions of Sindh.
