Not as high-end as the ultra-luxury YangWang U8, the Denza N9 is more of a Range Rover rival than a stalwart G Wagen alternative. However, the large six-seater has now confirmed estimated prices and some specifications for the Chinese domestic market, with prices starting at AU$98,000 and extending to US$120,000. Measuring over five metres long, over two metres wide and with a 3125mm wheelbase, the N9 is available exclusively as a three-motor performance plug-in hybrid, powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces a maximum combined output of 680kW. The brand claims this gives the N9 a 0-100km/h time of 3.0 seconds. Denza also confirmed that the pure electric range tested by CLTC will be over 200km, with a total range of 1,300km when using the engine. According to the brand, other high-end features include rear-wheel steering and even a crab-walk function. Inside, there’s a three-row, six-seat layout covered in full leather, with the first and second rows able to be folded completely flat (as is common in Chinese luxury SUVs).
