SEPULTURA: QUADRA 2020 CD REVIEW.(made this video before the STATE OF EMERGENCY in Spain)

Here a review of the new SEPULTURA album. Here you can read what i am talking about: The albums with Derick Green on vocals have been controverse to say the least but i really like this one. I think its really a special album divided into 4 parts -but its not a conceptual album. Its like a musical journey. Dont expect that its going to be a ARISE two, we dont need that anymore, that record was made back then. We have now a different kind of monster. The first part is the thrash part with ISOLATION kicking the album off. The second part has songs with more percussion and special rhythms. The third part is a little more experimental and the fourth part has more melody and acoustic guitar. I like each part a lot, this is just a musical metal journey. Amazing musicians, amazing solos, Derrick vocals sounds amazing and this is just a must have. PART 1 -the thrash. ISOLATION is a super heavy thrash metal track that has a cool intro too. Super way to start the album. Also they made a video clip for this one that we could see before the album was released. MEANS TO AN END is thrash metal again but with some sounds that reminds me of CHAOS AD. This song could have been on that album perfectly. They also made a video clip for this one. LAST TIME thrash again very heavily. PART 2 -tribal CAPITAL ENSLAVEMENT Tribal rhythms starts the song but not annoying like on Roots for exemple. The song is still strong. It has a nice instrumental middle part with some orchertration. ALI starts with some cool drumming from Eley Casagrande, he is one of the starts on this album together with the guitar master Andreas Kisser. Groovy thrash song. The song ends brutal !!!! RAGING VOID some parts in this song reminds me of MASTODON,specialy the way of singing of Derrick. To be honest he does a real fine job on all this album. The instrumentation is a little weird at places. PART 3 - progresive GUARDIANS OF EARTH. This next part kicks off good with this strong track. Progresive touches in some of the guitar riffs. Again i hear CHAOS AD in this track. THE PENTAGRAM is a kicking ass instrumental song that never gets borred. Super. It has straight forward thrash metal riffings, progresive riffs etc...Amazing. AUTEM. Starts again progresive, and it progress into a solid track that has one of the strongest choirus of all the album. A perfect mix between brutality and melody. Love this song a lot. Just amazing. Derick sings clear during some parts and he sounds just great. PART 4 -slowe but burning part Quadra kicks off the fourth and last part of this album. A short instrumental that is perfect to anticipate the next track AGONY OF DEFEAT is my fave track on this album. Its like a power ballad at the beginning or something like that, that reminds me of songs like THE OMEN by LAAZ ROCKIT or THE YEARS OF DECAY by OVERKILL. It has slower part but also heavier parts. REally a outstaning song. A masterpiece were Derrick Green shows the world that he is an amazing vocalist. Sometimes on this song he reminds me of the ICED EARTH vocalist. FEAR; PAIN; CHAOS; SUFFERING ends the album very progresive, very experimental with woman vocals, but very cool. A special song to end this very special fifteens studio album by SEPULTURA. I really liked KAIROS (2011) and MACHINE MESSIAH (2017) but QUADRA is my fave cd by the band since CHAOS AD (1993). P.d. The digipack edition comes with a extra live cd.
