It is home to an estimated seventeen million people and the official languages are Kazakh and Russian. Kazakhstan’s economy is the largest of all the Central Asian states, most likely due to its extensive natural resources. Its goal is to join the top thirty most developed countries in the world by twenty fifty, and pursue a period of modernisation and rejuvenation.
