Kurukshetra in Haryana is the land of Mahabharat where the great battle of Mahabharata was fought. This battle between Kauravas and pandavas continued for 18 days. In this video, we explored Kurukshetra Haryana & learned about the history of this Mahabharata yudh. Bhishma Kund - Bhishma Kund is located in Narkatali Village of Kurukshetra. At this place you can see statue of Bhishma Pitamah lay resting on the arrows of Arjuna. According to legends - Bhishma Pitamaha lay resting in the battlefield for 56 days. Shri Bhadrakali Shaktipeeth - Maa Bhadrakali temple is one of the 52 Shakti Peeths found in India. It is believed that the right ankle of Maa Sati fell down at Shaktipeeth, Shri Devikoop Bhadrakali Mandir in Kurukshetra. Shri Sthaneshwar Mahadev - After this, we visited the “Shri Sthaneshwar Mahadev” Mandir & had a darshan of the Ancient Shivling here. Dinner in Kurukshetra - We had dinner at “Kurukshetra Bhojnalaya” . In Dinner, we had Jeera Aloo, Boondi Raita & Chole. Taste of the food was average. Dinner cost - Jeera Aloo - Rs 130 Boondi Raita - Rs 100 Chole - Rs 110 Brahma Sarovar - After dinner, we headed to Brahma Sarovar for the evening Ganga Aarti. We reached here at 7:30 pm when the Aarti was finished so we not able to shoot it. Next Day - 29th August 2024 Braham Sarovar - in the Morning we visited Braham Sarovar. It’s a beautiful water tank dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed that Lord Brahma created this Kund. Khatu Shyam Mandir - After this, we visited the “Khatu Shyam Ji” Mandir here in Kurukshetra. It is located in the Brahma kund complex. We had a beautiful Darshan of Shyam Ji and also visited the “Draupadi Koop”. Abhimanyupur - we travelled around 10 km from Kurukshetra & reached at the “Abhimanyupur” village. This village is famous for being the site where Abhimanyu, the son of Arjuna, died in the Mahabharata War. This is the site where the Kauravas arranged the deadly "Chakravyuha" formation & trapped and killed Abhimanyu. Chaat - Then we had Chaat at the “Chaat King” Kurukshetra. We had Palak Chaat & enjoyed the taste here. Palak Chaat - Rs 70 Dharohar - Then we visited the Haryana cultural museum “Dharohar”. This museum is to showcase the unique archeological, cultural and architectural heritage of Haryana. Lunch - We had our lunch at the “Pearl Marc” Restaurant. We had Mushroom do Pyaza & Malai Kofta in the Lunch. Food at this restaurant was good, though bit costly. Lunch Cost - Mushroom do Pyaza - Rs 315 Malai Kofta - Rs 315 Shree Krishna Museum - We visited the Krishna Museum. This museum is dedicated to Lord Krishna’s life. Here we also saw the different galleries where we learn more about the Mahabharat period. Kurukshetra Panorama & Science Center - Beside Krishna Museum we visited the “Kurukshetra Panorama & Science Center”. It’s an interesting museum with Practical information.
