Complete Production Line for Two-Layer Co-Extrusion PE Pipes (Φ20mm - Φ110mm) This automated line is engineered for the high-output manufacturing of high-quality two-layer polyethylene (PE) pipes, covering a comprehensive diameter range from 20mm to 110mm. It integrates advanced co-extrusion technology with precision downstream equipment to produce pipes with superior performance, structural integrity, and identification features. Line Configuration & Core Components: Extrusion System: Twin Screw Extruders (2 Units): The heart of the line features two parallel, computer-controlled extruders. Primary Extruder: Processes the main pipe body material (often PE100 or PE80). Secondary Extruder: Dedicated to extruding the distinct second layer. This layer can be a different colored PE (for permanent stripe identification) or a modified PE compound with specific properties (e.g., enhanced UV resistance or abrasion resistance). Co-Extrusion Die Head: A specially designed, modular spiral die head that precisely merges the two molten PE layers from separate extruders. Creates a permanent, inseparable bond between the layers immediately before the pipe shape is formed. Key Benefit: The co-extruded stripe provides permanent, non-fading color coding for easy pipe grade, pressure rating, or application identification throughout its service life. Vacuum Calibration & Cooling Tank: The molten pipe enters a sealed vacuum calibration tank to be precisely sized and cooled. A vacuum system ensures the pipe perfectly conforms to the calibration sleeve's dimensions (20mm to 110mm) for excellent dimensional accuracy and roundness. Multiple cooling stages in a long spray or immersion tank ensure stable, gradual cooling to prevent stress and warping. Haul-Off & Caterpillar Puller: A powerful, synchronized caterpillar puller provides constant, vibration-free traction. It carefully pulls the pipe through the calibration and cooling stages, maintaining consistent wall thickness and preventing deformation. Cutting Unit: An automatic traveling cut-off saw or planetary cutter. It cleanly cuts the pipe to pre-set lengths (e.g., 6m or 12m) with square ends, without stopping the extrusion process. Downstream Equipment: Automatic Unloader/Stacker: Gently handles and stacks finished pipes. Printing Machine (Optional): In-line printer for marking production date, size, standards, and manufacturer info.
